Produced by AUXART, The Foggy Dew brings together an ensemble of celebrated musicians and designers for one-night-only to stage and perform works they have been developing together in concentrated residencies at Portland’s Dekum Street Theater.
Based on an exploration of themes rooted metaphorically in war and displacement, the project will generate an immersive audio-visual journey in which the musical and lighting performances are integrated into the weave of an elaborate sculptural stage environment. Audiences are invited into a raw creative engagement between 7 artists who have exchanged the safety of a scripted setlist for the vulnerability, trust and instinct required in a setting of loosely charted improvisation.
